
This incident photo released by the U.S.C.G. shows the M/V Eagle Tuscon grounded near Pilottown, La., at the mouth of the Mississippi. The Eagle Tuscon grounded at approximately 2:45 a.m., Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, causing a blockage shipping traffic for vessels with a draft of over 35 feet. The vessel was loaded with approximately 602,000 gallons of crude oil at the time of grounding however there have been no signs of oil leaking or water ingress.
In the photo above, a 33-foot response boat from U.S. Coast Guard Station Venice, La., monitors efforts to free the grounded tank vessel.
