After sources close to pirate groups claimed over the weekend that a ransom had been paid for the MV Iceberg, pirates on board the vessel have said that the reports were false.
“We are still on the vessel in Garacad area and no ransom has been paid yet; we wouldn’t release the vessel without our demanded ransom,” Said Adan, spokesman of the group, told Somalia Report.
