The MSC cruise ship MSC Lirica has suffered what appearesto be a major fire while docked at the port of Corfu in Greece.

Firefighters were battling the blaze after it broke out Friday afternoon. Reporting indicates that the fire is mostly under control.

Photos show thick black smoke billowing from MSC Lirica’s starboard side amidships.

There are no passengers on board and no injuries have been reported among crew members on board.

The MSC Lirica is a 65,500 gross tonne cruise ship built in 2002.
