FRANKFURT (Dow Jones)–MAN Diesel & Turbo, a subsidiary of German truck maker and engineering firm MAN (MAN.XE), said Thursday it has received a four-year maintenance order worth $30 million from Norwegian Cruise Line (KLS.XX).
MAIN FACTS:
-MAN PrimeServ, the Florida-based MAN service brand, will maintain NCL cruise liners’ engines and spare part supply.
-“It is one of the first service agreements of its kind with one of our major customers and constitutes a key after-sales success…” executive board member of MAN Diesel & Turbo Stephan Timmermann said.
-To date, 52 MAN engines with 542 cylinders from various series have been produced for NCL’s vessels.
