On Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Hilton Hotel in Stamford CT, a remarkable insight into the immediate and near term future of the international shipping industry will be laid bare, debated and critical approaches explored by the heads of the industry’s largest trade association heads representing 1000’s of private and public shipowners, operators and charterers.
Commencing in the afternoon on Monday, March 18, the international industry will all be in Stamford Connecticut for the Shipping 2013 Conference and Expo. Attending will be the mind and management heart of international shipping in the U.S. This absolutely unique insight begins a three day examination of the industry’s economic, commercial, financial and technical/operational presence, with enough insights to change the returns and prospects for anyone involved in the business.
These are not single company road show presentations, but the cold hard facts from the best private, public, long term owners, charterers, suppliers and industry players imaginable. The only goal is how to work the current environment.
The event will be one of those remarkably rare moments on the Monday, when the leaders of all the world’s Shipowner Associations: the leaders of the tanker, dry bulk, shipbuilding and commercial trading arm of the business share the stage and look frankly at the present and the future.
The event organizers also just received confirmation that Congressman Duncan D. Hunter (R-CA, 50th District), Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation will be with us, and will make a Keynote Welcome Address to open the conference.
The CMA shipping 2013 event IS the industry, its owners, financiers, charterers, yards, suppliers – it is how the industry really works.
