On a delivery last week from Newport to Charleston, the Hodgdon Yachts-built 100-foot carbon raceboat Comanche had her first opportunity to really stretch her legs in open ocean sailing conditions.
This yacht, outfitted with all manually-operated winches, was built for Netscape founder Jim Clark with the primary ambition to break major ocean racing records (while having a lot of fun in the process.) She was designed by Van Peteghem Lauriot Prevost (VPLP) and Guillame Verdier.
