It was a very cold morning on the east coast of the United States today as the jet stream dipped deep into the southern states bringing with it single digit temperatures. In Annapolis, Maryland this morning, it was 9 degrees when I woke up, 5 degrees shy of the record set in 1970.
For vessels heading in and out of Baltimore and down Chesapeake Bay, it’s just another day with an added bit of ice accumulation on the bow.
