China International Marine Containers Group (CIMC) announced today a new build order for two 8,800 TEU container vessels with associated 204 month charter agreements with MSC.

Under the arrangement, CIMC will pay $170 million to New Times Shipbuilding (NTS) to build the ships, and will receive the same amount from MSC in a finance-lease deal, payable via a charter of US$25,000.00 per vessel per day.
