A container barge will spend another night aground on Quadra Island in British Columbia, Canada.
The barge, named Nana Provider, was being towed by the U.S.-flagged tug Polar King when it grounded Saturday night at around 8 p.m. local time during a voyage from Seattle, Washington to Whittier, Alaska.
The barge is carrying empty containers and rail cars, the Canadian Coast Guard reported.
No injuries or pollution have been reported.
The Nana Provider and Polar King are operated by Alaska Marine Lines, part of the Lynden group of companies.
“The tug is intact and the owner is taking action,” the Canadian Coast Guard said on Twitter.
