Today, the M/V Faina was released by Somali pirates after a US $3.2M ransom was paid.  The Ukranian ship with 21 crew members and carrying 33 soviet tanks, ammunition and other heavy arms was seized by pirates off the Kenyan coast on September 25, 2008.

All 20 of the remaining crew members are said to have been set free but are in need of medical attention.  The captain of the ship passed aways just days after the hijacking due to hypertension.
