Port Operations – Amazing Tilt Shift Time-Lapse Photography

Published: June 19th, 2009 by Mike | SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

We have posted some pretty good time lapse photography here on the blog and this one definitely ranks amongst the best.  The video is done by Keith Loutit, a Sydney based photographer who does photographs and short films that use a variety of techniques to give a unique perspective to ordinary places, like the one above taken at Sydney Port Corporation using a technique known as tilt shift photography in which the camera is manipulated so that a life-sized location or subject looks like a miniature-scale model.  More information and amazing time lapse photography from Keith can be found at http://vimeo.com/keithloutit or on his blog HERE.

For those interested, gCaptain has tested the waters in this type of photography. Here are links to gCaptain’s own Tilt Shift and Time Lapse photos on Flickr. Also be sure to check out the Time Lapse blog tag.
