SMD ATOM ROV
Bibby Offshore announced today its Singapore division signed a 1-year ROV services contract earlier this year with subsea contractor Seascape.
Bibby has already mobilized their SMD ATOM work-class ROV aboard the Seascape-chartered DP2 dive support vessel Windermere.
The ATOM is rated to 3000 meters, 100 horsepower and is an ultra-compact work class remotely-operated vehicle. SMD, the original equipment manufacturer for this particular ROV, says the unit is “comparable in size to an electric ROV system. The vehicle is suitable for drill support, survey and light construction duties and can be mobilised on vessels and rigs with limited deck space.”
Malcolm Rennie, General Manager at Bibby Offshore Singapore commented on the award:
“This contract win with Seascape is further evidence of the continued demand for BOS’s services as a leading supplier of specialist ROV equipment, and experienced personnel. This announcement marks a positive start to the year for the division and underpins our commitment to providing a first class service to clients in the region.”
Bibby Offshore’s global assets include 7 subsea support vessels and 17 ROVs.
