In a highly non-traditional yet prudent move by Volvo Ocean Race organizers, 5 of the 6 racing yachts in the Volvo Ocean Race were picked up from their Indian Ocean “safe haven” today and are now on their way to the Persian Gulf where they will finish the rest of Leg 2 from Cape Town, South Africa to Abu Dhabi.
