Royal Caribbean’s second Quantum-class cruise ship, Anthem of the Seas, was floated out of the covered building dock of the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany on Saturday.
The 168,000 gross ton cruise ship is nearing completion at the shipyard, with delivery expected for spring 2015.
Anthem of the Seas is one of the largest cruise ships in the world, measuring 348 meters long by 41 meters wide. The vessel will accommodate 4,180 guests at double occupancy and feature 2,090 staterooms.
Float-out of the Anthem of the Seas comes just 15 months after the keel was laid in November 2013.
Anthem of the Seas is sister ship to first vessel in the Quantum-class, Quantum of the Seas, delivered in November 2014. A third Quantum ship is also currently under construction at Meyer Werft.
