Volstad Shipping AS has signed a newbuild contract with Tersan Shipyard in Turkey for a new Subsea IMR and Construction Vessel. The vessel comes at a total project cost of approximately NOK 800 million (USD 130 million) and is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2015.
The vessel will be of the ST-259 design, and built for operation under severe weather conditions and with high maneuverability and station keeping capabilities.

Fearnley Offshore Supply AS has facilitated the new build contract between the two parties and has also participated in the development of the design. Fearnley will also handle the chartering of the ship.
