Sweden-based offshore shipowner Viking Supply Ships AB has announced plans to outsource the management of its six anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) tugs to the Sea1 Offshore.
In a statement, the Viking highlighted that this initiative is expected to result in substantial cost savings starting from the first quarter of 2025, benefiting all shareholders. Viking Supply Ships will maintain its renowned ice-competence and continue to have its shares listed on Nasdaq First North. The outsourcing process is slated for completion in October 2024, pending final documentation and necessary third-party consents.
