Swedish shipowner Viking Supply Ships (VSS) will be shutting down their Aberdeen office as of 1 July 2015, according to a statement by the company today.
Company management cites the current weak market within the offshore supply segment and a need to “remain competitive and reduce costs.”
“All administrative functions will be absorbed by the head office in Copenhagen. VSS will keep the existing crew composition on the vessels,” the company says.
