Ok, so the rescue itself was fairly ho-hum, but the photography is amazing. The video was made by combining two photographic techniques; time lapse photography, which most of us are already familiar with, and tilt-shift photography, a method that alters the angle of an image’s focal plane that in some cases, gives real life objects the illusion of bath toys, or in other cases, allows an entire landscape to remain in focus while keeping the aperture open. Ansel Adams used this technique.
