Black Sea Grain Deal ‘Expected’ to Wind Down Ahead of Closure Next Month

The Black Sea Grain Initiative is a UN-broked deal that aims to support the safe wartime export of grain from three key Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea. The initiative is monitored by the Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) hosted in Istanbul and includes representatives from Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United Nations. The JCC carries out inspections of ships coming to and from Ukraine in Turkey.
