Norwegian shipowner Solstad Offshore has announced a contract award for five of its anchor handling tugs (AHTS) in West Africa.

The contract was signed with Ocean Installer Limited, the subsea business of Havram AS.

The project will be executed by the five large AHTS’ Normand Drott, Normand Prosper, Normand Sapphire, Normand Sigma, and Normand Sirius. The combined contract duration is for minimum 380 vessel-days and will commence in the fourth quarter of this year.

In addition, Ocean Installer AS has also awarded Solstad a seasonal contract for 2024 for the large construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Navigator for work mainly on the Norwegian continental shelf. The contract also includes additional services such as ROVs, project support and survey.

Commercial terms being kept confidential, but are reported to be in line with present market conditions for the type of vessels.
