Day Of The Seafarer – Death, Cancer, Suicide, and Maersk
If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? What if a seafarer is raped? by Captain John Konrad...
By almost any account, an event such as this would call for a celebration or something, but the recent float-out of the M/V Maribo Maersk was really just another day at the Daewoo Marine Shipbuilding and Engineering yard in South Korea. After all the ship pictured here is number 7 of a total 20 Triple-E’s on order at DSME, and the yard is now cranking them out at about one new delivery every 1.5 months. So far four have been delivered to Maersk since the first one in July.
