Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) announced today the signing of a 1+1 year charter agreement from Murphy Sabah Oil Co.,Ltd. (Murphy) for the hire of the anchor handling vessel Normand Ivan. Solstad notes the vessel will be utlized to support Murphy Oil’s deepwater operations in Malaysia, where the vessel has been operating for Murphy since 2004.
The 2002-built Normand Ivan has 20,000 horsepower and is rated to 240 tons of bollard pull.
The new contract has already commenced.
