Qatar Navigation Warns of Challenging 2015
Qatar Navigation (Milaha) warned of a challenging 2015 as conditions in its offshore business remained weak and its investment business was exposed to instability in local equity markets.
Qatari shipping firm Milaha reports today they have commenced merger discussions with UAE-headquartered United Arab Chemical Carriers Ltd (UACC).
UACC owns and operates a fleet of 22 modern Medium Range and Panamax LR1 Chemical and Product tankers while Milaha owns a extremely diverse fleet of vessels ranging from container vessels, diving support vessels, product tankers, gas carriers, platform supply vessels and others.
Milaha says, “If successful, this move is expected to result in a larger and stronger business, provide better financial returns, and strengthen the combined business market position.”
