Maritime Publishing Acquires The Log Newspaper

Maritime Publishing of San Diego, CA, announced today that it has acquired The Log Newspaper from Newport Beach based Duncan McIntosh Co, Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

According to Dave Abrams, CEO of Maritime Institute, the parent company of Maritime Publishing, “The Log is an iconic publication that has served the Southern California boating and fishing community for more than 52 years. I am honored to be able to carry on this legacy and look forward to growing the reach of this great newspaper in the decades ahead.”

Current employees of The Log will continue with the paper and will work with Maritime Publishing’s other publications, which include Ocean Navigator, Professional Mariner, Pacific Maritime Magazine and Fisherman’s News.
