At approximately 04:56 UTC this morning (October 12, 2010) the Greek flagged tanker, Mindoro, collided with Cyprus flagged container ship, Jork Ranger, about 30km off the Scheveningen coast.
The Mindoro, which was transporting kerosene at the time of the collision, suffered a hole in her hull approximately five to six meters in diameter near the water line and started to leak its cargo into the North Sea. The spillage, however, was quickly stopped.
There are no casualties reported and the container ship, Jork Ranger, has been given a permission to continue to Rotterdam.
