Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) announced today the winning of a six-ship petrochemical tanker newbuild order worth KRW 187,500,000,000 (USD $185 million).
The order comes from Alterna Capital Partners and consists of a series of eco-designed 25,000 dwt ships. The vessels will be 169.0 meters in length with a beam of 25.6 meters and are scheduled to be delivered by the end of Q3 2016.
HMD notes this order brings Alterna Capital’s current newbuild program to 10.
