Heerema Marine Contractors’ new self propelled heavy lift crane vessel named Aegir has won the Dutch Association of Ship Owners (KVNR) Shipping Award at the 2013 Maritime Awards Gala.
The Aegir, and her sister vessel Seven Borealis owned by Subsea 7 are customized ULSTEIN SOC 5000 designs developed by Ulstein Sea of Solutions.
These vessels, with their 5,000 metric ton cranes are designed for ultra-deepwater subsea construction and pipeline projects in waters up to 3,500 meters deep.
