Following a gas leak from a subsea pipeline in the vicinity of the Curlew FPSO in the North Sea, Shell UK reports today divers have isolated the floating production vessel from the Fulmar gas line by closing two valves on the interconnecting pipeline.

The subsea work was performed from the dive support vessel Bibby Polaris.

As a result of the isolation, gas export via the Fulmar pipeline to the St Fergus gas plant restarted early this morning.
