Florida-based consultancy Flagship Management, LLC, announced today that Thomas Allsworth and Denis Kelleher have joined their firm as Associates in its maritime recruitment division.
“It’s a privilege to bring Tom and Denis onboard our team at this exciting time in our company’s rapid growth,” said Mick Tansey, a partner in the company. “Tom brings a background in engineering as well as being a decorated US Marine Corps Officer and Denis offers us a critical nexus with Massachusetts Maritime Academy graduates.”
Tom is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where he obtained a B.S. Degree in Marine Engineering. He holds a current Third Assistant Engineer’s License from the USCG for Steam, Motor, and Gas Turbine Vessels. In 2009 Tom joined the US Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer Officer. He completed one tour in Afghanistan as the Regional Command South West [RC(SW)] Roads and Bridges Officer, in which he was responsible for the development of roadways to connect economies throughout Southwest Afghanistan.
Denis Kelleher is a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy and holds a B.S. in International Maritime Business. Denis was a participant in an international exchange program with Shanghai Maritime Academy where he studied the Chinese business culture. Denis has industry experience through his cooperatives working as a ship agent and with the New Bedford State Pier.
