Farstad Shipping has announced today the signing of a NOK 825 million newbuild contract with VARD for a Subsea IMR vessel.
Farstad notes the hull will be built by Vard’s shipyard in Tulcea, Romania and outfitting will take place at Vard Langsten in Tomrefjord.
The vessel is of VARD 3 07 design and is designed for subsea and IMR operations (Inspection, Maintenance and Repair).
Delivery is planned for July 2015.
