EMGS has declared their second charter extension option today for the 3D seismic survey vessel BOA Galatea, owned by Trondheim-based vessel owner, BOA.

The vessel will be utilized over the next few years to support a contract signed with Nalcor Energy in May 2014 for the acquisition of up to 13,500 square kilometers in a multi-season campaign offshore Newfoundland.

The campaign will begin with a survey of the Flemish Pass, an area which has seen recent major discoveries.

This charter extension firms the EMGS’ charter until the 17th of July 2016, with another 1 x 12 months option remaining.
