Here’s some video of the Costa Concordia wreck site as it appeared in early January 2014, approximately two years after the Costa Concordia ran aground at Isola Del Giglio.
The video, which was filmed using an aerial drone, provides an unmatched view of the Costa Concordia as it rests on underwater platforms following the September 2013 parbuckling operation. At the time of filming, crews had just completed the winterization process, which included further securing and stabilizing the ship for the winter months ahead.
Interestingly enough, the video is not first filmed by a drone of the wreck site. Last year, this unsanctioned, slightly more upbeat video shows the Costa Concordia prior to the parbuckling operation.
