Tim Konrad

Tim Konrad is the founder and CEO of Unofficial Networks and owner of the Farmers' Almanac, the 208-year-old American weather and lifestyle publication he acquired in January 2026. He holds a B.A. in History from Saint Michael's College, with study abroad at London Metropolitan University and Charles University in Prague. Tim co-founded gCaptain with his brother Captain John Konrad and served as strategic advisor from 2007 to 2014. Unofficial Networks, which Tim founded in 2006 in a California basement, has been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, ESPN, NPR, and Forbes. His gCaptain writing draws on his background in history to cover maritime mysteries, modern piracy, ship engineering, and ocean phenomena.
