ONI Alert: Pirate Attack Group Located in central Arabian Sea
Just in from the Office of Naval Intelligence:
A Pirate Attack Group (PAG) consisting of a dhow and two skiffs was observed 1223Z on 18 March approximately 500NM SE of Salalah, Oman at 15:05N 062:33E. This area will remain high risk for at least the next 24-48 hours.
Mariners are warned to avoid transiting near the area if possible. If necessary to transit these waters, mariners are encouraged to use all counter-piracy measures and employ all best management practices.
