CBS’s 60 Minutes on Sunday aired a special on the sinking of the El Faro titled Lost in the Bermuda Triangle to coincide with the NTSB’s release of the first images and video of the wreckage.
The American cargo ship El Faro sank with the loss of all 33 crew on October 1, 2015 after sailing into the eye of Hurricane Joaquin. The sinking has been called the worst U.S. maritime disaster in more than three decades.
