Watch: Boat Catches Part of SpaceX Rocket in Net

Check out this video posted by SpaceX’s Elon Musk showing part of a rocket being caught by ship at sea with a giant net. 

The catch comes after SpaceX launched one of its Falcon 9 rockets from Cape Canaveral.

The vessel that made the catch is the ‘Ms Tree Boat’, which is equipped with a large net designed to catch rocket ‘fairings’ as they fall back to earth following launch. 

As the tech website Engadget points out, the catch is one of the first successful catches carried out by SpaceX. Below is a video from an unsuccessful test earlier this year:
