Vehicles Toppled Aboard P&O Ferry Due to Heavy Weather

Several vehicles aboard a P&O Ferry were toppled over after the vessel experienced heavy weather during a voyage from Northern Ireland to Scotland.

Emergency services were sent to meet the European Causeway as it arrived in Cairnryan, Scotland Tuesday morning.

Police reported that about 6 lorries toppled over at approximately 7:40 a.m. due to extreme weather.

All passengers and crew are safe and there are no injuries.

The European Causeway was sailing from Larne in Northern Ireland at the time of the incident.

The weather forced P&O Ferries to suspend all ferry service between Cairnryan and Larne until the weather subsided.
