Three crew members of an offshore supply vessel were killed in a fire on board the vessel off the coast of Mumbai, India on Saturday.
The fire was reported in the engine room of the Indian-registered Greatship Rohini, belonging to The Greatship Group, as the vessel was about 92 nautical miles northwest of Mumbai.
The Indian Coast Guard said that fifteen people had been rescued, but a search was underway for three missing as a result of the fire. Reporting indicates that responders located the bodies of three deceased crew members on Sunday.
The fire has since been extinguished and the vessel is reported as stable.
MV Greatship Rohini is one of five R-class platform supply vessels. The vessel was built in 2011 and has deadweight of 3,700 tonnes.
