Farstad announced a major new charter contracts today with Petrobras worth upwards of USD $186 million for the IMR vessel Far Saga (2001, UT 745 L) and the AHTS Far Sea (1991, ME 303 II, 13,200 BHP).
The Far Saga was awarded a 6 year contract includes ROV support and other subsea related activities offshore Brazil and includes an option for an additional 6 years.
Farstad notes that the vessel will leave the North Sea during December 2013 following the upgrade of its crane which is currently rated at 100 metric tons.
The AHTS Far Sea’s current contract with Petrobras was extended for an additional four years offshore Brazil.
