Corrections & Updates Policy

gCaptain is committed to accuracy. When we make mistakes, we correct them promptly and transparently.

How We Handle Errors

Corrections: When we publish information that is factually incorrect, we update the article with the correct information and add a correction notice at the bottom of the article noting what was changed and when.

Clarifications: When our reporting is accurate but potentially misleading or lacks important context, we add clarifying information and note the update.

Updates: When a story develops after publication, we add new information and note the update timestamp. This is standard practice for breaking news coverage.

Correction Format

Corrections appear at the bottom of articles in the following format:

Correction [Date]: An earlier version of this article stated [incorrect information]. The correct information is [accurate information]. We regret the error.
