CMM (Compagnie Maritime Monégasque S.A.M.), the Monaco-based offshore supply vessel owner, accepted delivery last week of their first Damen-designed and built platform supply vessel (PSV), the 80-meter, 3,300t dwt CMM Gravity.
This LR-classed vessel will soon head to Brazil to execute a 4+4 year contract with Petrobras.
For Damen Shipyards Galati – the company’s Romania-based yard, this is their seventh delivery of their mid-size PSV 3300 design and will be compliant to Petrobras Annex V specifications. With this order, over twenty Damen-built OSVs will now be working for Petrobras.
“We are proud to have been awarded the Petrobras long-term charter contract,” commented CMM-president Christophe Vancauwenbergh. “Our goal is to be a proactive service provider with a focus on the ever more demanding needs of our clients in conjunction with delivering quality and technical sophistication. We therefore have sought the added value of an experienced top-shelf shipbuilder.”
