An 80-foot yacht named “Bliss” sank Saturday morning after catching on fire a mile off the coast of Miami Beach, Florida.
The USCG says that crews from Coast Guard Sector Miami and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a call around 10 a.m. Saturday from the USCG cutter Sitkinak that the motor yacht had caught on fire as coast guard crews were getting ready board it.
Three people aboard the vessel jumped into the water and were safely rescued by a crews from a USCG cutter. Authorities verified there were no other people aboard the vessel and fully extinguished the vessel. All three people were not injured, the Coast Guard confirmed.
