20 miles off Santa Cruz, California, Mark Peters and some friends were fishing for albacore and playing around with a custom underwater “torpedo” case for his HD GoPro video camera. Besides catching a load of fish, it was an otherwise typical day on the ocean.
And then something unbelieveable happened…
Rob Almeida is Partner/CMO at gCaptain. He graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1999 with a B.S in Naval Architecture and spent 6.5 years on active duty as a Surface Warfare Officer. He worked for a year as a Roughneck/Rig Manager trainee on board the drillship Discoverer Americas. Rob is an accomplished sailor and competes in the US Australian Rules Football League. Awesome video….. At the 2:12 mark, (lower right side of frame, I think there is a pair of whales that pass in the oposite direction.
