USAirways Flight1549, an Airbus A320, was headed to Charlotte, North Carolina, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
A passenger said he was “pretty sure” everybody on the plane got out.
“Somehow, the plane stayed afloat and we were all able to get on a raft,” said the passenger, Alberto Panero. “It’s just incredible now that everyone’s still alive.”

Jihadi birds bring down a plane in America.
16/01/2009 – New York. Last night a US Airways plane with 155 people was brought down by Islamic birds. These birds were specially trained in the remote north western borders of Pakistan by Al-Qaeda who has claimed responsibility for bringing down this plane. Speaking on this Osama-bin-Laden said that this is first retaliatory action against the Zionist, the invades for their recent atrocities in Gaza strip and people should expect millions of birds have been trained and ready to carry out similar Jihadi attack. Osama said Praise be Allah and let the martyr birds reach heaven and be served by 72 virgin birds with everlasting pleasure. He also have promised the people of Gaza and Kashmir, that we Muslim brothers are together with the well trained Jihadi birds are with them in making the Zionists, Hindus and Americans bleed – all praise is due to Allah!

This captain AND HIS TEAM, put down this craft without it being torn apart where so many would have perished in the icy waters. Nothing but praises also to those who responded so quickly to the rescue. The probabilities of this ending up a horrible tragedy were very high. In a time of despair, we have ALL been inspired and lifted up by this event.
