SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)–Keppel Corp. Ltd (BN4.SG) Friday said that five workers have been killed in an accident at the company’s shipyard in the Philippines.
The incident occurred this morning at the Keppel Subic Shipyard where a vessel was being repaired, Keppel Subic Shipyard President and General Manager Mok Kim Whang said in a statement Friday.
Seven workers were also injured.
Keppel said it is cooperating with the Philippine’s authorities and will provide further updates when more details are available.
