M/V Beluga Nomination released, condition of crew unknown

According to a report issued by EU NAVFOR task force, pirates released the M/V Beluga Nomination Wednesday, April 13. The BELUGA NOMINATION was recently taken by pirates. One open question was how the pirates managed to get into the ship's Citadel safe room where the crew was hiding. ‘M/V Beluga Nomination’ pirated in Indian Ocean

After 4 days of uncertainty regarding the exact status of the crew, MV Beluga Nomination is now believed to be pirated. On the afternoon of 22 January 2011, the MV Beluga Nomination was attacked by a skiff, with an unknown number of suspected pirates on board.  Small arms were used against the vessel during the attack.
