What a coincidence!

I have been doing this for years.

On the last night working on my ship, before I go home, I always try to wait until at least midnight before I have my first meal. This seems to prepare my body to make the transition from working nights (6pm -6am) to my day schedule at home. My "dietary clock" is tricked into thinking that I have only been up since midnight, when the reality is that I have been up since the early afternoon the day before.

Otherwise, I will have had 5 or 6 full meals by the time I make it back to Maine and feel like crap the next few days.

The "fasting" technique DOES WORK at least for me!
