On Monday, Russian freight forwarder Sovfracht-Sovmortrans announced the signing of an agency agreement under which they were formally appointed sales agent for the world’s largest break bulk shipper, COSCO Break Bulk Shipping Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chinese COSCO Group.
COSCO Break Bulk Shipping has a worldwide fleet of about 400 ships providing marine shipping services ranging from iron ore, coal, grain, fertilizer, steel, timber to agricultural products, etc, covering over 1000 ports in over 100 countries and territories.
According to the agreement which was signed last Thursday, Sovfracht-Sovmortrans will work as COSCO Break Bulk’s agent in all Russian ports.
