DUBAI, Feb 19 (Reuters) – Qatar Gas Transport Co (Nakilat), one of the world’s largest shippers of liquefied natural gas, reported a 14 percent rise in fourth-quarter net profit on Thursday.
Nakilat made a profit of 201.6 million riyals ($55.4 million), up from 176.5 million riyals a year earlier, according to Reuters calculations based on the company’s financial statements.
The firm’s 2014 net profit was 893.6 million riyals, up from 729 million riyals in 2013, it said.
Nakilat also proposed a 1.2 riyals-per-share cash dividend for 2014. This compares with its 2013 payout of 1.1 riyals-per-share, according to Reuters data. ($1 = 3.6412 Qatar riyals) (Reporting by Matt Smith and Nadia Saleem; editing by Olzhas Auyezov)
