Rob Almeida
Rob Almeida is Partner/CMO at gCaptain. He graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1999 with a B.S in Naval Architecture and spent 6.5 years on active duty as a Surface Warfare Officer. He worked for a year as a Roughneck/Rig Manager trainee on board the drillship Discoverer Americas. Rob is an accomplished sailor and competes in the US Australian Rules Football League. I’ll put in Rambler on the right in the second photo…the frac rigged beauty on the left is a mystery to me.
The Maltese Falcon is stunning to look at.. but even more amazing to see at full sail– She set sail, came along our starboard side then braced around our stern at full speed and was still going at 10 knots with only topsails. (Caribbean Jan 1 2011)
Well I thought it was one of those new fancy fangled terrestrial HDTV antennas some jerk installed on his yacht so he would watch reruns of Boobwatch for free…. I mean, Baywatch. Not to say that’s a bad thing though.. ;-)
